9th Annual Staff Development Conference

Get ready to Level Up at IU Indy! IU Indianapolis Staff Council invites you to a one day Staff Development Mini Conference designed to help you connect with colleagues, build professional skills, and strategize your next step in your career journey.

The Staff Council Professional Development Mini Conference is a free, one day opportunity for IU Indianapolis staff to grow their professional identity, expand their knowledge, and strengthen their campus connections, so you can return to your role energized and equipped with practical next steps.

What to expect:

  • Practical sessions to charge your action bar, aquire new skill points, and support leveling up!
  • Ideas and resources for navigating change, supporting wellness, and strethening mentoring and collaboration. 
  • Networking, campus resources, and more!

The thematic "Level up at IU Indy!" conference will be held on Monday May 4 2026, in the Campus Center 4th Floor.

Call for Quest Givers!

We need you! We’re accepting speaking proposals for 30–45 minute workshops aligned with our theme, “Level Up at IU Indy.”

We’re especially looking for proposals that help staff:

  • Energize their careers at IU Indy using actionable strategies, tools, and resources.
  • Build skills and promote professional growth by creating safe spaces and engaging learning experiences.

We also welcome sessions on:

  • Navigating change, wellness and mental health, or mentoring and collaboration.
  • Skill developement (technology, communication, leadership, etc.).
  • Educational Opportunites.
